Stars fuse hydrogen into helium for a very long time by out standards. Our own little yellow star contained enough hydrogen to radiate heat and light for ten billion years. Though it isn’t endless, our middle aged sun has enough fuel to keep on keeping on for another five billion years or so. It isn’t endless, but it’s a much longer time than anyone alive can really fathom. So how do we take advantage of such seemingly limitless energy? With photovoltaic cells.
